Volleyball Schedule Revised.
We revised the Volleyball Schedule this Saturday for the Round Robin as shown.
We improved the schedule so that all teams does not have to stay for all 5 hours.

Chess, Carroms, and Ping-Pong competitions are going to be conducted
on Sunday 08/08/2010 at 1:30 PM at CORDOVA Community Center.
Those who did not register can still come there and register at the time of the sports event.
The registration fee($10) will be collected at the event.

TAM 2010 Summber Volleyball Draw.
Announcing Volleyball Draw and Schedule.
Important Notes:
- The registration fees are requested to be paid before the first match.
- Each team within a pool will face the remaining teams in a round robin.
- Each match is best of 3 sets and rally scoring system will be adopted. Each set is played for 21 points.
- The two teams with the highest number of points will reach the semi-finals from their respective pools.
- Venue:
- Final is best of 5 sets.
- Two players from each team are required to referee for matches they are not playing.
- Line calls, Carry, Net etc will be called by the line umpires and referees. The main referee/umpire makes the call. The organizers call is final.
- No show beyond 20 minutes of the scheduled time is a BYE and points are awarded. Reschedule is acceptable under certain circumstances.
- Mandatory rotation and rotation errors will be penalized by a point.
- No limit on the number of bench players. They can get into the game upon notifying the umpires.
- A team is limited to 2 two minute timeouts per set. A three to five minute break will be observed between sets.

Anouncing Mens Tennis Singles Ties
Important Notes:
a) Organizers decision is final and binding.
b) Sportsmanship should prevail at all times.
c) Winner of each match should collect the Registration Fee of $5 from their opponent at the end of the match and pass it onto the Organizers.
d) Semis and Finals will be supervised with referees. For the first three rounds,
Players will make calls on their own side of the net.
e)Players will report results to sports@telugumemphis.org or Varma Kosuri at 901-878-9897.
f) We suggest that first three rounds to be played in pro-set(1 set to reach 8 points) format; but will leave it to the players to decide on any other formats like best of three sets(both players should agree).
g) Balls will be provided for Semi-finals and Finals by the organizers. Both players will have to coordinate for the balls before each match for the first three rounds. h) All matches are played on a knock-out basis.

Announcing: TAM – 2010 SUMMER SPORTS TOURNAMENT
Telugu Association of Memphis presents 2010 Summer Sports Tournament. The tournament is for recreation and fun. Please come forward and make this event a big success. Volunteers are requested to organize this event. The following Games/Sports are currently being planned. Please register via email by 07/26/2010. Please email your registrations to sports@telugumemphis.org

Volleyball
Sand Volley Ball with up to 8 members per team. Each team with 6 players will face the opposing team on a sand volleyball court for a best of 3 sets per game. Registration fee is $40.00 per team. A team coordinator is required to submit the team details and interface with the organizers. We will try to accommodate individuals interested that are not part of a team as well. If you are not part of a team, please indicate so and you will be placed into one of the participating teams. Refreshments will be provided for the semi-finals and finals.

Tennis-Singles tournament for men and Tennis-Singles for women is a great way to meet other players in the area. Registration fee is $5.00 per player. The semi-finals and finals will be a 3-set match. All other matches will be played as Pro-set. In a Pro-set only 1 set will be played. The set should be played until a player reaches 8 points. Tie breaker will be for 12 points (unlike 7 in a regular set).All matches will be played as knock-outs.
Caroms Singles (For Kids, Men and Women)
Caroms tournament is being planned for Kids, men and women separately. Registration fee is $10.00 per player. Caroms is planned for July 31st afternoon. A detailed schedule will be published to all the participants as soon as possible. All equipment will be provided. Hurry up and register as soon as possible.
Ping Pong Singles (For Men and Women)
Ping Pong tournament is being planned for men and women separately. Registration fee is $10.00 per player. Ping Pong is planned for July 31st afternoon.
